Hello! I’m Marianne Brown the founder of Super Speech Services, with over 20 years of experience in speech and language therapy as a therapist and Professional supervisor.

I have a passion for helping people fulfill their potential with effective communication skills. On the one side providing professional supervision services for independent therapists to help them provide exceptional services to their clients and on the other, working directly with clients, to enhance their communication skills.

Professional Supervision

I offer a client-centred non-directive approach to professional supervision. I recognise that supervision needs change and evolve over time, alongside our experience as therapists. I engage with therapists at the level of support tailored to their needs, whether this is related to clinical questions, or a broader, exploratory reflection around an overarching theme or issue.

Having run a multi-therapy practice myself, I recognise the unique challenges of setting up and working in independent practice, and support therapists to develop the business side of working privately, as well as the clinical aspects and practice management. As a working mother, I appreciate the value of juggling work and life commitments and therefore value offering working parents a space of reflection, support and restoration.

At the start of each session, we will set a loose agenda and supervisees can bring client work to reflect on or wider work-related topics and relationships. I am happy to support supervisees with my own clinical experience and also to provide a confidential space to discuss and reflect on wider points of concern around work-related topics and relationships.

Professional Supervision can be arranged in person within south-west London or remotely over zoom, at a frequency that suits your needs,

Children 1:1 Speech Therapy Sessions

As a speech and language therapist, I provide 1:1 and group sessions for school and nursery-age children, providing assessment and therapy for a large range of language, fluency and social communication difficulties.

My areas of specialist include: Working with children in the mainstream school environment; bilingualism; language delays and disorders; speech sound delays and disorders; social communication difficulties; working with children who have autistic spectrum disorders; stammering and developmental language disorders.

I currently work at several schools within south-west London.

“Marianne is fantastic! She has been so supportive of me as I set up my new independent SLT practice, and she understands the challenges of being a busy working parent. I particularly appreciate her style of supervision in that she is able to both listen and allow me chance to process, but also offers practical ideas when required. I always look forward to our sessions and would highly recommend her to other Therapists”. Rebecca

About Me

Marianne Brown,

Independent Speech and Language Therapist,

BA Hons, PGDip, MRCSLT, MHCPC, MASLTIP

Twenty years ago I started my career in Speech and Language Therapy as an Assistant and then Technical Instructor, across NHS paediatric and adult neuro acute/rehab services. After completing my clinical training I decided to specialise in paediatrics, providing speech and language therapy for both nursery and school-age children. In 2009 I expanded my services to run a busy independent multi-disciplinary practice and this developed my special interest in professional supervision.

Supervision has enabled me to help others provide the level of service I strive to provide for my own clients, whilst balancing work and family life.

I'm currently also the Local Group Coordinator for the Wandsworth ASLTIP network group. This involves arranging and facilitating regular peer support and CDP meetings for independent therapists, including reflective practice and signposting members to supervision support as needed.

My certified training includes: In-Tandem Foundational and Advanced Supervision Skills Courses, plus Hanen, Elklan, and PROMPT courses.

I understand the importance of ongoing professional development and attend regular In-Tandem Advanced Supervision Skills Training.
